The Washoe County Department of Emergency Services says the Nevada National Guard, the State Division of Forestry and other emergency management agencies are mobilizing.

The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning along the Truckee River… and flooding could be the worst in 25 years.

More than 40 sand bag locations have been set up to operate through the week-end.

People who live in the area are being advised to collect flashlights, food, water, medications, batteries and other supplies in case of power outages.

The Reno Gazette Journal has a blog with updates of the situation and a slideshow of flooding from previous years here.
