Comcast Sports said today the majority ownership of the Sacramento Kings has been sold to a group in Seattle. Another report says there’s an offer to keep the team in Sacramento. Meanwhile, the teams' minority owners have yet to hear anything.
John Kehriotis, one of five limited partners of the team,
said, "As an owner, one would think I'd know something about
it, and I don't, at this point anyway."
He said he has had no contact with the Maloofs or with any of
the other three limited partners.
"First of all, I don't know if there is an offer. I don't know
what the offer says. I don't know if the offer gives me any
options. When the Maloofs contact us, I'll have a better idea of
how to answer any of your questions," he said.
Kehriotis added that one thing he does know is he would like the
team to remain in Sacramento.
Late this afternoon another report surfaced from CBSSports.com
saying the founder of 24 Hour Fitness has put a bid in to buy the
team and keep it in Sacramento.
Another reporter says the Sacramento Kings have been sold to a
group out of Seattle. But if a deal has been reache, it's news to
the team's other owners.

(indecipherable), I'll have a better idea of how to answer any of

Maloof spokesman Eric Rose released a statement saying only,
"Nothing has changed with our position that we will not comment on
rumors or speculation about the Sacramento Kings franchise."

team to remain in Sacramento
