The Public Policy Institute of California poll puts Brown's
approval rating at 51 percent. That's the highest since he took
office two years ago.
According to the survey, more than two-thirds of Californians
support Brown's budget, and 75 percent like his plan to direct more
funding to schools with more low-income students and English
Californians are also feeling better about lawmakers.
Forty-one percent approve of the job the legislature's doing; the
highest in five years.
