Thirty institutions will take part. Two will be half-priced. The Sacramento Zoo and FairytaleTown. The other 28 will be free and include Sutter's Fort, the State Railroad Museum, and the Crocker Art Museum as well as lesser-known options like the Museum of Medical History. All expect crowds:
Delta Pick Mello: "All the museums will see anywhere from 4-10 times what they normally get on a regular day."
Delta Pick Mello with the Sacramento Association of Museums says nearly 85-thousand people will take advantage of the event. She says many locals enjoy sampling Sacramento's offerings- but tourists have also caught on:
Delta Pick Mello: "We have busloads from Fresno that come up and make this an annual event. We've run into people from San Francisco and the Bay area that come up here for this event."
