Pitman High School in Turlock is having a Kaep-tastic day today.
Principal Rod Hollars says in Colin Kaepernick's honor the 2,000 students at Pitman are wearing his jersey...and red and gold are about the only colors you'll see.
HOLLARS: "We're not seeing any purple or black I can tell you that haha, pretty much it's all Kaep, all day."
Tomorrow morning the community will gather at the high school for food and fun, calling the event Turlock Believes.
Hollars says downtown Turlock has red and gold 49er signs along main street, and the local menu has changed as well.
HOLLARS: "They have like Kaep dogs, Kaep burgers, Kaep cakes, Kaep cookies, I mean hey, instead of Turlock it's Kaep-town USA."
The name of Pitman's football team is the Pride...and in Turlock this year that fits.
