Marshall Sperbeck is going into his seventh year as a head coach at Sac State, "Sacramento is kind of our hub of where we're going to work from and we go out from there.  We try to stay within a three-hour radius is probably where the majority of where our kids do come from and then we will send some coaches down to Southern California."

Sperbeck signed nine Sacramento area players -the most the school has ever landed from one class.

At UC Davis, Ron Gould had almost no time to recruit.  He was hired for the job in December, "We had literally about a month, month and a half to get going, to put this whole thing together and one of the things we did was assemble the staffs.

The Aggies landed 15 players-almost all from Southern California.  One was and offensive lineman from Truckee.  Both schools paid particular attention to stocking their offensive and defensive lines.  The season starts August 31st.

The two schools will play each other in the 60th Causeway Classic November 23rd.
