The period around President's Day is always a big one for ski resorts- and Andy Chapman with the North Lake Tahoe Visitor's Bureau says this year may be really big:
Chapman: "You know, I think it's going to be busier than a normal President's Day weekend just because we have a lot of snow - we have a big snowpack and the weather's going to be nice and the roads are clear."
Amelia Richmond with Squaw Valley says many lodging options are sold out. She says this year is pacing ahead of last year, when it didn't snow much until late in the season:
Richmond: "By contrast, we got some great snow early season this year, had a fantastic holiday period, and then have had just some really nice sunny days this January."
Many schools are also off the entire week - known as "ski week" in Northern California.
