Lieutenant Glenn Glasgow with the Davis Police Department says the report came in just before 10:30 this morning.

"Officers responded…they wound up detaining two people. Subsequently, during the course of the investigation determined that what the subject had been in possession of was a b-b gun."

The two people detained by the police - a male and female - are both in their late teens…but are not students at Davis Senior High. Glasgow says police had to release the pair.

"At this point, unfortunately what we have is no criminal violation due to the fact that they had never stepped onto a campus."

Three other nearby schools were also placed on lockdown: North Davis Elementary, Saint James Elementary and King High School. The lockdowns lasted about 35-minutes.
