The survey covers the second-quarter of 2013.
"In April, May, June, there's lots of hiring ahead."
Rick Reed conducted the survey for Pacific Staffing. He says
75% of the companies he polled plan to employ new workers.
Last quarter, 57% of the region's top employers said they'd be
hiring…and a year ago it was 71%.
He says companies hiring in the next few months are motivated
by two things:
"…50% are hiring for growth of their workforce which is
the largest expansion number in some time and another 50% say
they're hiring for replacements as their motivation."
Reed says companies are looking for new employees with skills
in software and information technology. In fact, demand is so
strong employers say they're recruiting workers from out of the
Sacramento market.
