A National Basketball Association spokesman says its
relocation and finance committee will meet on Monday to discuss the
Sacramento and Seattle bids for the Sacramento Kings.
It is likely the committee will make a recommendation at the
conclusion of that meeting and submit a report to the rest of the
NBA owners.
The full Board of Governors will have a minimum of seven
business days to review the report before voting on the offers to
purchase the team and a request by Seattle investors to move the
team to Seattle.
Twenty-three of the 30 majority owners must vote to approve
the sale of a franchise. Only 16 are needed to approve the
relocation of a franchise. The NBA has not said in which order
those votes would take place.
