Race to the Top California is changing some of the ways schools are run and teachers are evaluated, so that the state can apply for Race to the Top money. It's a federal education program offering billions of dollars to states, but some education groups are skeptical of Race of the Top, and others oppose some or all of the changes recently made to California law.
