Della Reese Singer, actress and minister Della Reese is coming to town for a fundraiser for a local church. Best known to many for her role in the TV show "Touched by an Angel," Della Reese is also a Grammy-nominated singer, was the host of a TV talk show in the 60s, and guest-hosted "The Tonight Show." "One Voice" There's a unique show starting soon at a Sacramento school. It's a cross-cultural music, dance and theater production involving students from Natomas Charter School and a school in a small town in Central Turkey. The production was briefly threatened by a recent accident that took the lives of one of the Turkish students and seriously injured another. You'll meet three of the educators who traveled to Turkey and hear about the production.
Steve Forbert Singer-songwriter Steve Forbert brings his thoughtful folk-pop to town this week. Steve Forbert emerged as part of the late '70s singer-songwriter scene and is still best known to many for his early hit "Romeo's Tune." Forbert is as active as ever, playing concerts and recording new music.

Randy Shaw A longtime activist and community organizer is in town today with his book about Cesar Chavez. Randy Shaw is director of San Francisco's Tenderloin Housing Clinic, and previously wrote "The Activist's Handbook." His book about Chavez and the UFW is titled "Beyond the Fields."
