Ryan McKinney Movie director Ryan McKinney is receiving the Nor Cal Legends Award at this weekend's Sacramento Film Festival. Today on Insight, the Sacramento native tells you about his latest film "The Invited," which stars Lou Diamond Phillips and Pam Grier and was filmed in the Capital City.

Fenix Drum and Dance The African-inspired group Fenix Drum and Dance gives shows this weekend. Based in Sacramento, Fenix specializes in West African and Afro-Caribbean dancing and drumming. You'll meet the group's founder and leader and hear clips of their music.

Solar Powered People Modesto-based indie rock band Solar Powered People has an international following. Their music hypnotic indie rock, a style started by groups like Joy Division and Cocteau Twins.
