Molly Ringwald A couple of years ago, actress Molly Ringwald, born and raised in Roseville, turned 40 and that experience led her to write a book, her first. It's called "Getting the Pretty Back" and it's about rediscovering the charming qualities of youth, and adding them to who you've become as an adult. Ringwald is best known for starring roles in the coming-of-age movies like "The Breakfast Club," and more recently in the TV show "The Secret Life of the American Teenager." She's also a singer and will be at this year's Sacramento Jazz Festival and Jubilee.

'Telling: Sacramento' Sacramento veterans and family members have worked for months now a theater piece. It's called "Telling: Sacramento"and it's part of a national movement called The Telling Project. It's about finding true stories of life in and around military, honing them and presenting them on stage for the public to hear.
"Telling: Sacramento" is at 8 p.m. today and Saturday, May 15th and 3 p.m. Sunday, May 16th at The Guild Theatre, 2828 35th St., Sacramento. Admission is free.
Bicycle Film Fest America's biggest bicycle race returns to Sacramento this weekend just as the Bicycle Film Festival comes for the first time. The festival started 10 years ago and has visited dozens of cities around the world. The festival's founder is a former Sacramentan. We'll talk with a filmmaker and a local organizer of the festival.
