Insight: Cutting the Cord / Pot the Vote Tour / Kiva Walk / Dia de los Muertos

Cutting the Cord A new book teaching parents how to deal with adult children who are incapable of holding a job, paying their bills, or staying clean and sober has recently been released. The co-authors are local. We'll talk with them about it.

Pot the Vote Tour Comedians Doug Benson and Graham Elwood are in Sacramento to raise awareness about Prop 19 with the Pot the Vote Tour of California. Benson is a regular on Comedy Central - both his own specials and as featured performer at roasts, but he's probably best known for the documentary "Super High Me," where he spent 30 days stoned followed by 30 days stone-sober.

Kiva Walk We'll meet a man walking cross-country to raise awareness for micro-financing organization Kiva. He's due in Sacramento this morning on his way to San Francisco to finish his trek.

Dia de los Muertos El Panteon de Sacramento will commemorate Dia de los Muertos with more than 40 altars created by community-based organizations, social service agencies, student groups, individuals and families. We'll talk about the significance of the altars and how they're made.
