Budget Session New legislators were signed in on Monday and Gov. Schwarzenegger called a special session to deal with the budget deficit. On Monday, we talked with Jon Coupal of Howard Jarvis and Mike Herald of the Western Center on Law and Poverty about what could and should be done to balance the budget. One of the options floated by the Governor is major cuts to CalWORKS. We'll hear from the County Welfare Directors Association of California about how that would affect their clients.

Beer Aficionado UC Davis master brewer Charlie Bamforth has a new book out, "Beer is Proof God Loves Us." We'll talk to him about the nuances of the beverage.

Young Chorister A local 7-year-old boy performed in the chorus that sang the National Anthem at a recent Giants game and will be performing in the San Francisco Boys Chorus Winter Concert Dec 11th. You'll meet him and hear some of his music.
The San Francisco Boys Chorus Winter Concert is from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec 11th at Calvary Presbyterian Church, San Francisco.

Sound Advice: Off Air We'll check in with "Off Air" host Nick Brunner during our weekly music series. He'll introduce you to some new indie and alternative music.
