Gov. Jerry Brown has exceeded his
self-imposed, 60-day timeline for reaching a deal with
lawmakers to close California's multibillion-dollar budget
shortfall. In partnership with The Sacramento Bee, Capital Public Radio News has reported
extensively on the status of the state budget since the
governor took office. Today, instead of Insight, we present "Fixing the Budget: Brown's Countdown and
Beyond," a live panel discussion on California's on-going
budget debate with journalists and stakeholders. Hosted by Jeffrey
Callison, "Fixing the Budget: Brown's Countdown and Beyond" airs
live at 10 a.m.
