Insight: Ghana's Chief Justice / Antigone / Planet of the Vampire Women


Ghana's Chief Justice Ghana's Chief Justice will be in Sacramento this week to participate in Sacramento State's 20th annual Diaspora Conference taking place this weekend. Chief Justice Georgina Theodora Wood is also receiving the 2011 peace award today and will present the keynote address. Today on Insight, we'll talk with her about her life and work.

"Antigone" A local theater company is staging an updated version of "Antigone." We'll talk about why the play resonates today with Kelley Ogden, producer and actress, and Lisa Thew, director and co-producer. You'll also hear a scene between Ogden and actor Patrick Murphy.

"Planet of the Vampire Women" The Trash Film Orgy, a local group that celebrates B horror films, has made its own sci-fi action adventure, "Planet of the Vampire Women." The film was shot in Sacramento and gets its world premiere this weekend at the Crest Theatre. We'll talk about the film with Christy Savage, producer and director of photography; Darin Wood, director and writer; Amy Slockbower, producer, make up, FX supervisor and costume designer; and Stephanie Hyden, actress who plays Astrid Corvair.
