Insight: Pre-Existing Condition Insurance Plan / Hank Shaw / Anne Frank Play / Sac Jazz Festival

Pre-Existing Condition Insurance Plan Many Californians have a hard time getting insurance due to pre-existing conditions, but a new plan created under the federal healthcare overhaul may help. On the next Insight, we'll talk about this with David Sayen, Regional Administrator of the U.S. Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, Region 9, based in San Francisco.

Hank Shaw Local blogger and former James Beard award nominee Hank Shaw is the author of a new book, "Hunt, Gather, Cook: Finding the Forgotten Feast." It is a food-oriented guide to fishing, foraging and hunting aimed both at foodies and at people who already do some of this stuff, but who want to learn more.
Anne Frank Play An acclaimed new play about Anne Frank is currently playing at the B Street Theatre. "Extraordinary Things" was written specifically for B Street Theatre by Dana Friedman, an actress and playwright that started as an intern at the theater. You'll meet her and hear about the play. And co-founder and producing director Buck Busfield tells you why B Street Theatre commissioned the play.
Sac Jazz Festival and Jubiliee The 38th annual Sacramento Jazz Festival and Jubilee kicks off today and runs through Monday in venues throughout downtown and Old Sacramento. You'll hear about some of the highlights of this year's festival from new executive director Greg Willett and marketing director Jim Caselli.
