Police Grant The Sacramento Police Department is losing more than $3 million in emergency preparedness tools, including mobile command posts and terrorism response training. Sacramento is just one of 34 cities that will lose money from the Urban Area Security Initiative Grant, funded by Homeland Security. We'll talk with Police Chief Rick Braziel about how this additional cut in funding will affect a police department already straining under budget cuts.
