Redistricting North Oak Park The Sacramento City Council decided on a plan that
would take UC Davis Med Center out of the District 5 and put it in District 6. We'll talk about what the change
might mean with Michael Boyd, President of the Oak Park
Neighborhood Association, and Gordon Olson, former President of
the Elmhurst
Neighborhood Association.
Steve Cohn Sacramento City Councilman Steve Cohn has
placed himself at the forefront of the city's redistricting process
by introducing his own redistricting map even though a
citizen's advisory group produced four maps for the council to
choose from. Now, "some pundits," according to Cohn in a Sacramento Bee op-ed piece, are wondering
why the city council bothered to get public input on redistricting
if council members aren't going to listen. We'll speak with
Cohn about his role in the redistricting process and the current
debate over which district will have the UC Davis Med
Center.
