Capitol Chat  We'll speak with LA Times political reporter Shane Goldmacher about some of this week's news-worthy items in state government.

Prison Realignment  The transfer of thousands of state inmates to county supervision begins on Saturday.  Will the counties be ready to deal with a big increase in their own inmate and parolee population? We'll hear from Corrections Secretary Matthew Cate.

Gender Issues in Healthcare  A dwindling number of insurance agencies offer maternity coverage.  We'll look at gender inequities when it comes to finding health insurance.  The Legislative Director for the California Commission on the Status of Women, Beth McGovern and Shannon Smith-Crowley join us.  She says maternity coverage is just one of many healthcare obstacles women face that men don't.
