Disability History Week The Second Annual California Disability History Week will be
celebrated around the state this week. We'll speak with the
deputy director of , YO! Disabled & Proud, Christina Mills, and Katie Laackmann, a YO! Disabled and Proud volunteer.
SIGLFF The Sacramento International Gay and Lesbian Film
Festival is back for its 20th year.
We'll speak with director Michael Akers whose film "Morgan" is playing Thursday night. Also
joining us is the director of "America's Most
Unwanted" Shani
Heckman, and SIGLFF Program Director Michael Dennis. The
festival runs Thursday through Saturday.
Artober Sacramento is celebrating the
inaugaration of National Arts and Humanities Month with
a 31 day series of art-centered events called Artober.
We'll speak with Michelle Alexander, who is the executive
director of the Arts and Business Council of Sacramento, Veronica Delgado, who is an Artober
coordinator, and Heather Philpot, who is organizing the next
event in Artober, the Modern Arts Festival in midtown
Sacramento, which starts this Saturday.
Louis Prima Jr. Entertainer Louis Prima
Jr. is bringing the big band music of his dad Louis Prima to
Sacramento for a concert at Harlow's Saturday night. We'll talk
with him about his work and what it's like to perform music made
famous by his father.
