The California legislature has
decided to sue state controller John Chiang
over his newly granted budget
powers, and new poll numbers show that Governor Brown's proposed
tax hikes on the rich will pass with just the right angle.

Northern California Cheese is currently doing
for American cheese what Napa and Sonoma did for American wine in
the 70's. At last weekend's international Fancy Food Show in
San Francisco, Pointe Reyes Farmstead won the gold medal for
outstanding cheese or dairy product. The Sacramento region
itself has seen more restaurants carrying more regionally produced
cheeses in the past decade. Magpie is one of those
restaurants and the owner Ed Roehr joins us. A cheese maker from
Orland whose cheese wasfeatured at the Fancy Food Show last
weekend, Tim Pedrozo, also joins us. And the marketing
director of "Culture: The Word On Cheese," Will Fertman,
cheese plate Ed Roehr, and cheese maker from Orland, Tim Pedrozo
join us to discuss just about there is to know about cheese.
