Arena Deal Sacramento, the Kings and the National Basketball Association have agreed to a long-anticipated arena deal.  The mayor announced the deal Monday morning after negotiations with the team owners and the NBA in Orlando, Florida.  Chris Lehane, the executive director of the Think Big Committee (Johnson's arena task force), joins us to discuss the details of the agreement and the next step in the process.  Sacramento Press reporter Melissa Corker also joins the discussion.

Explaining Municipal Bankruptcy The Stockton City Council is expected to take the first step toward declaring bankruptcy at its weekly meeting Tuesday night, and if it does, Stockton will be the biggest city in the nation to file for bankruptcy.  To explain what a municipal bankruptcy entails is John Gramlich, a staff writer for Stateline Pew Center on the States, who has written about different cities' experience with bankruptcy across the country.

Authors on the Move 45 notable California writers will convene at Sacramento's 10th annual literary event "Authors on the Move" this Saturday.  The year's event, themed "The Plot Thickens: The Future of Libraries," will provide attendees the opportunity to wine, dine, and book-sign with authors such as New York Times best-selling legal-thriller writer John Lescroat, and author of the five-title 'Spellmans" PI series Lisa Lutz.  The event funds the Sacramento Library's summer reading program across the system's 28 branches.  Authors On the Move is March 3 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel.
