Arena Renovation Soooo, after the deal fell through, the Maloofs floated the idea of renovating Power Balance Pavilion instead of building a new facility downtown. The Mayor has said the city won't help finance that (there is no money in the redevelopment funds anyway according to Bob Moffit) Greg Van Dusen is one of the original architects of Arco and his team has the re-design plans.

Anoushka Shankar Internationally acclaimed and Grammy-nominated sitarist, composer, and conductor Anoushka Shankar is on a multiple-city tour across the United States to promote her new album "Traveller."  The daughter and disciple of maestro Ravi Shankar has been hailed as "a new breed of super-musician" by the Japan Times and BBC Music Magazine noted she was a "creative force" and a "star performer".  She will be performing at the Mondavi Center on Tuesday, April 17 as part of UC Davis' "Focus on India" series.
