Intellectual Property Since Apple successfully sued Samsung for stealing copyrighted ideas like its pinch-zoom photo function, many legal analysts predict technology companies will become more careful about where they get their ideas from and how they express them. How do intellectual property laws affect you and when does sharing or borrowing ideas become stealing? Madhavi Sunder is a law professor at UC Davis who has recently written a book on the topic, "From Goods to a Good Life: Intellectual Property and Global Justice." She explains how these laws can protect you from exploitation and inhibit your freedom. She is signing copies of her book today at UC Davis and tomorrow at the Avid Reader in Davis.
