Pension Changes Gov. Jerry
Brown signed into law historic pension changes this week. The latest
move is the largest rollback of public employee pensions ever and
is projected to save California taxpayers billions of dollars and
improve the state's credit rating. Critics of the changes say they
go too far or not far enough. Supporters say it's a step in the
right direction. And a lot of Californians are still unsure
what to think. We'll speak with Secretary of the California Labor
and Workforce Development Agency, Marty Morgenstern, who worked closely on the
new law. Plus, we'll hear the perspective of workers represented by
public employee unions and pension reform advocates. And we'll hear
from a critic who doesn't think the changes go far enough.
