Third Presidential Debate Analysis As the final
presidential debate of the 2012 election season wraps up we'll
discuss how the candidates fared and what we learned from the
matchups, including the Vice Presidential meeting.
Proposition 32 One of the most contentious
propositions this election season is an initiative intended to
scale back the influence of special interest in California
politics. Proposition 32 would limit corporate and union
campaign contributions and ban unions or corporations from
automatically deducting money from members' paychecks for political
advocacy. Critics say the initiative unfairly targets unions'
political influence while exempting many big businesses.
Backers say it levels the political playing field by restricting
campaign contributions from both unions AND corporations.
News Network: Davis and Yolo County Residents
of Davis are keeping their eyes on three ballot measures this fall
that could determine whether schools stay open or not. Davis
Enterprise Reporter Jeff Hudson joins us to explain what would
happen if a Davis parcel tax -Measure E- and two statewide school
funding propositions -Proposition 30 and 38- fail. He'll also
explain the contentious (and expensive) future of water in Davis,
and how a junior high principal pulled the plug on a stage
production of " A Christmas Carol" because of the word
"Christmas."
The 39 Steps "The 39 Steps" is a two-time Tony
