Prop. 39 Should multistate businesses be
allowed to choose between two methods to determine their California
taxable income? Businesses operating solely in the state can't and
proponents of Proposition 39 want to change that. Today on Insight,
we'll talk about the "single sales factor" and how it might affect
corporate taxes in the state.
Jack Ohman The Sacramento Bee announced
Wednesday that political cartoonist Jack Ohman of The Oregonian
in Portland, Oregon will take the place of Rex Babin, who
died earlier this year after a 15 month battle

night clubs of the segregated 1950's, the four-time Tony
Award-winning musical "Memphis" takes you along the incredible
journey of a young white DJ who falls in love with a black
singer. We'll speak with the show's lead actor Bryan Fenkart,
who plays Huey Calhoun, and Julie Johnson, who plays his
mother. We'll also hear music from the show, which is running
at the Community Center Theater through November 4.
