Insight: Gun Owners / News Network: Stockton / Three Midsummer Nights

Gun Owners - The role of guns in American society has been hotly debated for years, but the discussion seems to reach a fever pitch every time there's a shocking shooting like the recent school massacre in Newton, Conn. In February, Insight spoke with a variety of guests about gun laws in California and whether they work. After that show aired, we heard from a number of leal gun owner who felt their voices weren't being heard. One of the people we spoke with was Manuel Hernandez, the manager of M&J Gun Trade, a new gun store in the former Cornerstone restaurant building in downtown Sacramento. He invited us to spend a day with him in the store so that we could talk to different patrons. We took him up on the idea and visited the establishment on Feb. 15th. We spoke with a number of different gun owners about why they purchase the weapons and you'll hear from them in this two-part series.
