Arena Term Sheet - The people of Sacramento
may be feeling déjà vu as the city once-again votes on a plan to
partner with private investors to build a sports and entertainment
complex downtown. Of course, there are changes from last year's
plan - like the new location in what is now the Downtown Plaza -
which has some people, including city councilmembers, worried they
only have three days to review the new plan before the council votes on the term sheet Tuesday night. We'll speak with City Councilman Steve Cohn who was around for
last year's vote and has details of the city's latest arena
plan.
Supreme Court Takes on Prop. 8 - People
across America are watching as arguments over the constitutionality
of same sex marriage begin in the U.S. Supreme
Court Tuesday. We're speaking with Professor of Constitutional
Law at UCLA Adam Winkler about the California Proposition 8 case that the high
court will be considering, as well as the potential impact the
judges' decision may have in the state.
