A Wednesday rally for presidential hopeful, Donald Trump, is expected to draw 5,000 people to a hangar near the airport. The rally is scheduled for 7 to 8 p.m. and traffic is expected to be heavy from 3 to 10 p.m.

Travelers and rally attendees are being asked to allow an extra 30 minutes to get to and from the airport. Normal flight operations should not be affected.

The rally is hosted by The Sacramento Jet Center, a tenant of the Sacramento International Airport.

Meanwhile, Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders will hold a rally in Davis, Calif. Wednesday night.

The event is free and open to public and will take place at Hutchison International Field. Doors open starting at 5 p.m.
