Starting this June, CapRadio will bring together music lovers with local musicians hit hard by the pandemic through our first-ever Summer Concert Series, a series of one-hour radio specials and video performances.

CapRadio has brought together six ensembles — ranging from soloists to quintets — to perform in the CapRadio Garden, featuring many standard favorites from the canon, as well as a diverse lineup of composers and lyricists. Learn more about all the artists here.

Listen to the Summer Concert Series Fridays at noon starting June 18 on CapRadio Music 88.9 FM in Sacramento, 91.7 FM Groveland/Sonora, or 88.7 FM Sutter/Yuba City to hear performances and interviews with the artists. And subscribe to the CapRadio YouTube channel to see the videos of the performances as well!

Performers include:

  • The Chevalier Quartet, featuring Dagenais Smiley on violin, Chase Spruill on violin, Cassandra Lynne Richburg on viola, and Susan Lamb Cook on cello, with guest clarinetist Deborah Pittman
  • The duo of clarinetist Brennen Milton and pianist Carol Chueng
  • The trio of soprano Ann Moss, Justin Ouellet on violin and guitar, and pianist Jennifer Reason
  • The trio of soprano Carrie Hennessey, tenor Taylor Thompson and pianist Jennifer Reason
  • The duo of Dr. Beverly Hoehn on harp and flutist Elizabeth Coronata
