Play It Again, Sean: Symphony of 1000 Telecasts Announced

Maestro and Conductor Michael Neumann leads the Symphony of 1000 in Memorial Auditorium Sunday, Oct. 12, 2014. A video image of Neumann was part of the staging, assisting musicians in the back of the hall to see the conductor.

The Symphony of 1000 event, which packed Memorial Auditorium on Oct. 12, will be broadcast on Comcast/Surewest Channel 17 and AT&T U-Verse Channel 14 three more times in the next two weeks.

Viewers not able to connect via those cable providers can also watch the concert performance via the AccessSacramento.org website, although the performances will occur at the same scheduled times, and not available on-demand, according to Sean Bianco, Capital Public Radio "At the Opera" host and event coordinator.

  • Saturday, Dec. 13  - 6:00pm PST
  • Sunday, Dec. 14 - 10:00am PST
  • Monday, Dec. 15 - 2:00am PST

  • Fandango - Rimsky - Korsakov, arr. Isaac

  • Prelude from Carmen Suite - Bizet, arr. Kriechbaum
  • Hallelujah Chorus - Handel, arr. J. Isaac/R. Suleiman
  • Can-Can - Offenbach, arr. Meyer
  • Aragonaise from Carmen - Bizet, arr. Meyer
  • Radetzky March - J. Strauss, arr. Meyer
  • Ode to Joy - Beethoven, arr. D.R. Bellwood
