The Sacramento Region Is Rich With Festivals This Weekend

Thursday, September 11, 2014
Aftershock Music Festival

Aftershock festival 2013.

Aftershock Music Festival

This weekend is packed full of musical experiences to be had in the Sacramento valley.

If hard-core and punk is your cup of tea, you’ve got the Monster Energy Drink Aftershock festival taking over Discovery Park with big names like Weezer, The Offspring, Limpbizkit, Awolnation, Bad Religion, and many more.

For a more laid back scene you’ve got The American River Music Festival with more than 30 folk, rock, blues and bluegrass acts congregating along the river in the town of Lotus. Attendees will enjoy camping and river rafting with the soundtrack of good old American music.

Misner and Smith were on Insight earlier this year and are performing at the festival.

Looking for something simple, easy, and free? It is Second Saturday in midtown Sacramento and the very last THIS Midtown free concert in front of Low Brau on 20th and K. This week you can catch: Gardens & Villa, Zimmer, Lincoln Jesser, Chela & DJ Crookone.

There’s a little something for everyone this weekend in the river city.
