Converted from a warehouse on C Street in Midtown Sacramento, The Red Museum has been a space for live music performance and interactive art since 2015. The venue’s third annual fundraiser is this Saturday, Sept. 14 from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m.. Red Museum co-founder Brett Hart shared a few of the performers to watch for with Hey, Listen! host Nick Brunner.

Camilla Covington (Sacramento, CA)

Covington is on the Red Ex bill because “a friend of a friend” told Hart to listen to her tracks. It’s a common theme among the roster of Red Ex Vol. 3.

Watch and hear Covington perform live with the Shawn Thwaites Rebel Quartet on Hey, Listen! last August.

Oh, Rose (Olympia, WA)

Oh, Rose returns to the Red Museum after a few years and some big changes, including signing to Park the Van Records (which is now located in Sacramento).

L.A. Witch (Los Angeles, CA)

Hart describes the band’s sound as “Red Lipstick Music.” Cutting through the reverb is drummer Ellie English, who hits her toms harder than anyone Hart has heard in garage rock.

Red Ex. Vol 3

When: Saturday, Sept. 14 from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Where: The Red Museum 212 15th Street, Sacramento CA 95814
