UC Davis researchers presented a report in Washington D.C. Tuesday outlining the effects the current drought will have on farmers in the state. The study shows that farmers in San Joaquin and Tulare Counties will be hit the hardest in the state and the drought is likely to stretch to a fourth straight year, through 2015, if not longer - regardless of El Nińo conditions. Joining us to talk more about the report and the expected effects of the ongoing drought is one of the sponsors of the report, Josue Medellin-Azuara, a UC Davis agricultural economist.
