The Sacramento City Council voted Tuesday night to approve spending $5 million to create a home for the city’s performing arts in the old Fremont School For Adults in Midtown. The council also approved an increase in the cost of waste pickup. Capital Public Radio Region Reporter Bob Moffitt was at the meeting and joins us to talk about the votes. He’ll also talk about Sacramento Mayor Kevin Johnson’s continued push for a downtown soccer stadium despite the city winning a bid for an Major League Soccer expansion team.
