Angélique Kidjo / Facebook Grammy-Award winning African musician Angelique Kidjo is a powerhouse of a singer and an advocate for women’s rights. She named her Emmy-winning album Eve after her mother and dedicated it to the women of Africa. She was also named a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador in 2002 and helped found the Batonga Foundation for Girls Education in Africa. She is performing at the Harris Center for the Arts in Folsom Thursday and joins us ahead of the concert to talk about some of her latest projects.
