Sacramento, CA
Goats have a reputation for being a little ornery and eating everything in sight, but that’s not exactly true. Especially if you’re talking about a dwarf goat. These miniature goats – usually less than 2 feet tall – are gaining popularity as backyard pets in cities across the country. The urban goat movement started in Seattle and has spread to cities across the country. But in many cities, including Sacramento, it’s still illegal to harbor a goat. In this week’s Pet Tales, we’ll explore some the reasons people are opening their homes to goats and why cities may not be onboard with it. Pet expert Gina Spadafori joins us with the owner of Castle Rock Farm, which sells Nigerian dwarf goats.
