Two professors and artists at UC Davis have a joint exhibit at the Mills Museum in Oakland. Drawing on a shared interest in landscape developed in different media, “Can We Live Here? Stories From a Difficult World” examines the struggle of humans to survive in a rapidly changing natural world and the shifting concepts of nature that govern that world. In addition to working together, poet Katie Peterson and photographer Young Suh are also married. Insight talks with the husband and wife about their work and how they see California’s Central Valley as a landscape.
