A 24-year-old soprano from Sacramento, Yelena Dyachek, has just won one of opera’s biggest competition, the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions. It’s a contest that’s launched the careers of some of the biggest opera singers in the world today. Dyacheck joins Insight to talk about winning the competition that the Met’s general manager calls “Grand Opera’s answer to American Idol."
