A Sacramento scientist has turned his expertise into a new a book.
Marc Epstein is the author of “Moths, Myths, and Mosquitoes: The Eccentric Life of Harrison G. Dyar.”
Dyar (1866-1929) was an eccentric's eccentric, legendary for being a prolific tunneler in Washington, D.C. by his two homes, a bigamist, and all the while being a significant worker on moths and mosquitoes.
Epstein is also a senior insect biosystematist for the California Department of Food and Agriculture, working in a lab in South Sacramento studying moths and butterflies.
He has a book signing the Twenty Three Hundred Sunday.
