It’s finally being released and just in time for deer season.
“Buck, Buck, Moose” is the latest cook book from Hank Shaw, one of the Northern California’s celebrated food bloggers and authors.
Shaw decided to skip the traditional publishing route for his third cookbook and used Kickstarter to fund the project.
Clearly, the campaign was a success. The book is the most comprehensive venison cookbook ever written, and it is a structural follow-up to Shaw’s last one, “Duck, Duck, Goose,” which was all about waterfowl.
Shaw will be doing events at Yolo Brewing Company on Saturday and Nixtaco in Roseville on Wednesday, Sept. 7th.
We’ll talk with Shaw about the new book and what the journey from Kickstarter campaign to final fruition was really like.
