Will Coburn / Capital Public Radio Trans-Siberian Orchestra has reached international acclaim for their diverse mix of rock ’n’ roll music played on the electric violin and bass. Violinist, composer and TSO co-founder Mark Wood has brought the electric violin into the commercial limelight and driven interest and funding to musical programs in schools across the country through his organization "Electrify Your Strings." Just this year, two of the founding members of TSO have passed away — Paul O’Neill and the band’s bass player David Z. In a special concert at Mondavi Center, Mark Wood will perform alongside the Davis Senior High School Symphony Orchestra and Davis High Honor Choir in a dedication to the group's founding members. Mark Wood and Director of the Symphony Angelo Moreno join Insight with a preview.
