From silkworms use in cloth in ancient Chinese culture to termite inspired ventilation systems in sub-Saharan Africa, insects have been at the foundation for much of the design we see throughout human history. A new exhibit opening at the UC Davis Design Museum pays tribute to the critical role of insects relationship with humans in a diverse collection of art works and design pieces.
