Will the daily Sacramento Bee newspaper disappear, and does that mean the newsroom will evolve into a digital-only news destination?

"Let me dispel any rumors ... we have no plans to make material changes to the days that the paper is delivered, or the frequency of the Bee as a seven-day product."

That’s Lauren Gustus, regional editor for McClatchy News Company and who oversees the Bee. She joined Beth Ruyak on Insight this morning to discuss the future of journalism at the Bee and other McClatchy papers.

“We reach more people now than we ever have,” Gustus told Ruyak on Wednesday.

But she added that the Bee “can no longer be all things to everyone,” and that it has to make “difficult” decisions about how to focus its resources.
