A New Year’s Day murder-suicide was Amador County's third in just a year and a half. It has led to people coming together in various ways, including communicating and supporting each other on Facebook.
CapRadio’s Sammy Caiola spent six months reporting on rural suicide in Amador County. She was contacted by e-mail about the New Year’s Day murder-suicide, and in the process of gathering more information, talked to those working with domestic abuse victims, community members who wanted to do something about what was happening and the county’s district attorney.
