Antibody testing studies for the coronavirus are starting to paint a picture of the scope of the disease it causes throughout parts of the U.S.
If a person has a positive test for COVID-19 antibodies, it means they’ve been infected with the virus at some point.
But researchers’ initial findings won't identify which people are immune to the virus, meaning a positive result can't be considered a free pass to stop social distancing and get back to life as usual.
